The Types of Information We Collect
We collect two types of information as visitors and/or users access our website.
We track our site visits, including the number of persons that visit our site, the pages that they visit, the times of the day, the amount of time they spend on each page and the browsers used to access our site. Anonymous information: This tracking does not collect any personal information. We use the information only to analyze and improve the efficiency of our website, as we see it necessary.
Personal Information: When we request more information from visitors to our site, they usually give their names and an e-mail address. It’s the same if you decide to sign up for our newsletter.
When a visitor places an order for any of our services, s/he becomes a client. In order to serve that client, we must have the following information:
Contact Telephone Number
Company Name and Address if the client is acting on behalf of an organizations for which s/he works.
Protection of Personal Information
We use all industry standard protection methods for personal information provided by customers, including proper physical access controls and internet firewalls. When using a single web-based retail organization, customers have the same protection.
In order to communicate with our customers and to give additional information about our goods and services, we collect information. The Customer may, at any time, opt-out procedures found in every post and our Newsletter for additional information from us.
If a customer wants to be removed completely from our system, this can be done to our customer service service department on request. All personal details are then permanently removed from our system.
Sale or Transfer of Personal Information
Himalayan Translations does not distribute or transfer personal information of its clients to any third party. This includes selling, leasing, sharing or trading in any way.
There is no personally identifiable information that is required from visitors to our site unless that visitor volunteers to send us mails. We request names and e-mail addresses in such cases. Again, we do not share or distribute this information with third parties.
Protection of Financial Information
In paying for ordered services, client must submit their payment/financial information. This will normally include credit or debit card information. Clients may also pay through PayPal.
We do not enter any financial information into our database. It is encrypted and handled by a third-party payment processor. This processor is SSL-certified and is the same processor used by many major online retail websites.
If a client wishes to set up a credit account with us for long-term use and billing, again, this information is held by our third-party processor, not by us in any data base on our site.
To date, there has never been a breach of this data.
Sometimes a bank is asked to verify information of a customer before approving a transaction. In this case, we will immediately notify the customer and ask for information from us. This is usually in the form of a photo ID. If such a check has been requested we will immediately notify you, so you can contact us by e-mail attachment, screen shot or fax.

Occasionally, a visitor may see a link to another website on our site. These links are provided because we believe there may be information of value or use to our visitors and clients.
